Ways To Prevent:

-NYU Medical Center says, that if you are sexually active consistent use of condoms has been shown to greatly reduce the risk of HIV transmission, and an article from CNN tells sexually active people to use a new condom everytime you have sex

-Abstaining from sex is the most effective way to prevent the transmission of HIV/AIDS

-Use clean needles

-Tell your partner if you do have HIV/AIDS

-Being literate about the issue of AIDS is very important- Bogeyehu states that, "Literacy had a strong positive association with HIV transmisson and condoms.  He also states that, "Thus due to a generally higher level of literacy (grades 5-8 attainment), very young women (ages 13-20) had better knowledge of HIV transmission and condoms.
